Dunneville Market & Kitchen
An Old Favorite Under New Management
A local favorite, the Dunneville Cafe had operated from a rural intersection in San Benito County for over 100 years. The last owner had made it famous for its Tri-Tip and Calamari Sandwiches. With a new generation of owners taking the reins it was important to maintain the equity and comfort associated with Dunneville but refresh the identity. The new brand is a classic take on butcher shops with a black, white and red system, nostalgic type and recognizable silhouettes of the featured cuisine.

Exploration
The client sought a classic black, white and red butcher-style look. We explored several options but presented three directions that balanced a nostalgic, approachable feel. From painted cows, to a mark that nodded at the "Four Corners" where Dunneville is located to the final option that featured a meat cleaver for the "D."
