Gem-Pack Berries

Delicious branding journey defines One Sweet Future

Long-time Waltz client Red Blossom Farms combined forces with Gem-Pack Berries in October 2021, capitalizing on more than 150 years of berry farming experience. The Waltz Team was brought in during early stages of the merger to create one cohesive brand that honors both parent companies while setting the stage for upcoming business endeavors.

Waltz Creative designed a series of print advertisements for early merger announcements in selected national trade publications. The ad campaigns highlight how Red Blossom and Gem-Pack Berries complement each other’s strengths and are “better together”, while sharing the story of two companies joining together for “One Sweet Future”.

After the initial ad series, we refreshed the Gem-Pack brand with a new logo and a fresh, vibrant color palette to speak to the trusted brands that merged together and the array of tasty berries they provide.

With a collective acreage of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries in nine growing regions throughout California, Mexico, Florida and South America, Gem-Pack grows and sells their berries throughout North America, all year long. We designed eye-catching new clamshell labels with unique color palettes to speak to a North American audience.

The new brand elements developed in support of the merger were applied to Gem-Pack’s post-merger trade show debut at The Global Produce and Floral Show in Florida this Fall. Their 20 x 30 foot booth marked the first in-person unveiling of the new logo, color palette, personality and corresponding brand elements. Waltz worked closely with the Marketing team and booth builder to strategically design the display area from top to bottom. The booth’s modern farmhouse style kitchen concept showcased the trusted brand and how their tasty berries shine. Large, beautiful berries and geometric patterns were used to enhance the fresh, clean and inviting atmosphere of the booth.

Being a creative partner in Gem-Pack Berries’ brand development and evolution has been a delicious journey through all the seasons this past year and we are excited to support their continued growth and help them shine as they continue to develop the new brand and its story.

I want to take a moment to tell you how great the booth looked and say thank you! All of the design elements worked well together and I look forward to next year."”
