Strategic Marketing Collaboration Propels Transformational Startup Journey

Lookout Health, a mobile health screening and diagnostics company, emerged in 2020 with a mission to enhance access to vaccines and testing. For two years, Lookout's licensed medical staff and cutting-edge mobile labs served more than 150 clients, reaching over 50,000 individuals, ranging from large corporations to community vaccine clinics. As the pandemic ebbed, Lookout Health pivoted towards delivering proactive healthcare services through a mobile approach, supplemented by actionable guidance to empower clients towards optimal health and vitality. Waltz Creative was thrilled to support the Lookout Health team as they prepared for the next phase of their business journey, including marketing their new offering, Compass by Lookout Health.

Bridging the Gap

Business transformations don’t happen overnight. In the transitional phase towards their groundbreaking Compass by Lookout Health program, it was crucial to continue supporting existing clients while preparing for the launch. In the backdrop of the 2022 flu season and holiday rush, Lookout needed an email marketing campaign to promote their mobile workplace wellness services, including flu and COVID vaccinations.

Waltz developed a campaign look and feel that integrated their corporate brand with an enhanced campaign aesthetic. New secondary colors, iconography, illustration styles and photo treatments were introduced, breathing life into the existing brand. Simultaneously, we built out the campaign schedule, messaging and calls to action. We rounded out the campaign with copywriting, designing, coding and deploying each email according to the campaign timeline, accompanied by custom social media graphics.

While the primary aim was to promote mobile flu and vaccination clinics, the campaign also served to elevate brand visibility and nurture B2B leads in anticipation of the sales team’s outreach regarding the innovative, new Compass program.

Agile Marketing for a Transformative Future

Embracing the nimble nature of startups, the marketing materials for the early-stage Compass by Lookout Health sales efforts were designed to be lean, efficient, and adaptable. The homepage was revamped and a bespoke landing page for Compass was added. Physical assets like banners, drop-off cards, and price sheets were tailored for in-person events, while digital assets included an adaptable intro/sales deck and a digital sales sheet for email introductions. This flexibility allowed for swift updates to messaging and imagery based on evolving client insights.

Prepare to Launch

While the sales team was busy seeking out early-access clients, there was important work to do on the operations side too. At the heart of the Compass program lies an online portal that empowers employers and administrators to oversee their company or community’s Compass services. It also serves as a hub for participants to schedule appointments, order services, access test results, make payments, and more. While backend functionality was in development, Lookout turned to Waltz to craft the front-end UX/UI, ensuring a branded, intuitive, and visually captivating interface. Collaboration with Lookout’s medical team during copywriting phases ensured that service descriptions struck the right balance between medical accuracy, accessibility, and marketing effectiveness.

Sustaining Evolution

As Lookout Health refined its strategy, target audiences, and offerings, Waltz continued to partner with the team, supporting them with updates to marketing materials and the website, creating sales tools, brand and collateral development, and more.

Startups are, of course, always evolving and pivoting to make the best decisions for the business and Lookout Health was no exception. After three years in operation, Lookout announced the next exciting step in the company’s journey: acquisition by wellness industry leader, Discovery Health Services.
