Creative Systems Manager

“I welcomed the challenge to work at Waltz – a new industry, a new position to grow and learn, to be a more valuable asset and well-rounded employee. I thrive in creative environments and was so excited to be part of such a talented team of amazing artists.”
What is your role at Waltz?

I keep things running smoothly on the backend of Waltz; things our clients may never see. Like new hire training, digital system organization, financial tracking, and office management. I’m the general “knower of all things,” so my teammates frequently use me as a resource when things break or need an explanation; a “Jane of All Trades,” so to speak. I also create mixed media art that our clients use at trade show events, always a fun challenge!

Tell us about your history and experience.

Where do I start! I’ve done it all – worked for Greenpeace, as a tattoo artist, even an un-baker (yes, that is a thing) at a raw vegan cafe, and then as resident sign painter and assistant marketer for Whole Foods Market, before joining Waltz in 2015. With 20+ years in customer service, I’ve learned how to make our clients feel heard and seen with my authentic approach.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

Keeping things alive – kids, animals, plants. I love everything baby and have been a surrogate mother for several families who could not make babies on their own. When time permits, and when I’m not volunteering in my sons’ special education department, I’m in my garden or at the table crafting away.

What do you like about working at Waltz Creative?

THE PEOPLE 100%. I love our staff; it’s such a great group of diverse and creative people. I am always amazed with how leadership and the account team manage a million things in the office and still stay cool as cucumbers. I am equally impressed with how the design team finds unique and creative solutions to the wild requests we often receive.
